Overview

The Cyber Security Engineer position is a full-time exempt position. The candidate will serve as a technical lead for the establishment of a cyber security posture, assessment and certification as directed by the mission lead.  The individual will be working in a team environment supporting missile defense systems.  The individual will report to the MDS Program Director.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, tailor, and allocate security requirements
  • Design, architecture, implementation, vulnerability and critically analysis
  • Prepare RMF packages for certification
  • Produce DoDAF and other Model Based Systems Engineering artifacts
  • Support other duties as assigned

 

Skills and Competencies

  • BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science. MS degree is preferred
  • At least 10 years security program management experience in support of DoD programs and/or organizations.
  • CISM, CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications are preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, DSS ODAA/RMF security manuals, OPSEC principles, and COMSEC requirements.
  • Possess sufficient experience, command adequate resources, and are organizationally aligned to ensure prompt support and successful execution of a robust IS security program
  • Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures
  • Candidate must demonstrate very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize work and deliver on time work products

  • Active Secret Clearance (final clearance date within last 5 years)
