The Radar Software Engineer II position is a full-time exempt position.  The individual will provide software development support in an agile team environment supporting missile defense systems.  The individual will report to the MDS Program Director.



  • Participates as a member of the software development team
  • Planning, scheduling, designing, implementing, integrating, and testing requisite software
  • Creates and maintains the development and continuous integration environments for the software
  • Develops software design documentation
  • Creates and maintains schedules for the implementation of software defect fixes and directed enhancements
  • Develops and presents technical briefings to leadership.

Skills and Competencies

  • B.S. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related degree field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience
  • Understanding of radar signal and data processing
  • Real-time mathematical algorithmic programming experience
  • Strong C++ software development
  • Agile process implementation using tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • PERL script knowledge and experience
  • Proficiency with UNIX or Linux operating systems
  • Understanding of systems engineering and test engineering
  • Experience with radar digital signal injectors desired
  • Ada software development experience desired
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • US Citizenship and active DOD Secret Security Clearance required
