The Entry Level Systems Engineer position is a full-time exempt position. The individual will be working in a team environment supporting missile defense systems.   The individual will support engineering tasks to include; development of high-level system architecture, system requirements definition, perform system trade studies and performance assessments, and support complex aerospace system integration planning, execution and test activities.  The individual will apply engineering knowledge and discipline to develop system solutions and participate in all phases of system development. The individual will report to the MDS Program Director.



  • Modeling activities of End to End missile systems using MBSE
  • Designing, developing, verifying, testing and validating system models and simulations,
  • Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents
  • Provide technical participation in engineering and program reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), and/or working group meetings.
  • Interface with other members of the engineering team to provide engineering and analytic support to system design and trade studies
  • Support other duties as assigned


Skills and Competencies

  • BS degree in Aerospace or Systems Engineering or related field required. MS degree preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience on DoD programs. 
  • Familiarity with requirements development tools (i.e. DOORS) preferred
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and requirements development preferred
  • Familiarity with DoD systems design, architecture definition, and analysis preferred
  • Familiarity with Model Based Engineering tools and languages such as Enterprise Architecture, CORE, MagicDraw, UML/SysML/DoDAF (Cameo Preferred)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form



  • Active Secret Clearance (final clearance date within last 5 years) required. Top Secret Clearance preferred.
