Systems Test Engineer - Mid Level - St. Petersburg, FL

The Mid-Level Systems Test Engineering position is a full-time exempt position. The individual will provide expertise to ensure success through design, development, and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques. The Mid-Level Systems Test Engineer will report directly to the Program Manager.



  • Develop, install, and maintain secure development environments
  • Work with other engineering disciplines from development of initial system concepts to product sell-off
  • Integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and test system functions and interfaces
  • Verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to customer
  • Perform various engineering activities such as systems integration and test to verify system capabilities and performance, debugging system problems, root cause analysis and development of corrective actions, and analysis of expected system performance


Skills and Competencies

  • BS degree in Computer Science, appropriate Engineering or Scientific discipline
  • 5-12 years’ experience in the Systems Engineering field; specifically, development of systems integration and verification planning documentation
  • Experience in Systems Integration and Test to include hands-on experience with integration software and hardware in the lab
  • Experience with Java, C, or C++
  • Experience with Data Analysis, Test Automation, and Continuous Integration
  • Experience developing software in a team-based development environment such as Agile Scrum
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Software Tools such as: MATLAB, DOORS, Rhapsody, and ClearCase
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills



  • Active Secret Clearance Required
