The Test Engineer IV role is a full-time exempt position. The successful candidate will support prototype design and flight-test activities for next-generation missiles in close coordination with a customer team.  Engineering tasks include mechanical and/or electrical design of a missile control system using CAD and simulation tools, performing system trade studies and simulations then implementing the final design in hardware and performing live-fire flight-test.  The individual will be responsible for executing technical assignments with minimal supervision and will report to a Program Manager within the Air Force Programs Business Unit.



  • Work as a member of an engineering team applying advanced engineering concepts to a next-generation weapons concept prototype.
  • Implementation of designs into a custom 6-DOF simulation used for pre-flight analysis.
  • Mechanical design and analysis leading to part fabrication and assembly.
  • Serve as an integral member of the team supporting the prototype flight-test program.
  • Follow corporate policies and procedures in the day to day performance of duties.
  • Support other duties as assigned.   


Skills and Competencies

  • BS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required. MS degree preferred.
  • 8+ years’ experience supporting the DoD industry
  • Hands-on experience with existing missile system hardware and systems integration.
  • Experience with design, analysis, modeling, and simulation of aerospace systems.
  • Experience with simulation (MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW), CAD (SolidWorks), and FEA.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop test bed development and integration.
  • Experience with microcontrollers and implementing embedded control systems.
  • C++ programming skills and missile flight-test experience desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a spirit of innovation. 



  • US Citizenship and active DOD Secret Security Clearance required
